Senior Estimator - Compensation: 50,000 - 100,000 in Baxter, Arkansas

Primary Function
Lead preconstruction efforts in development of conceptual to detailed estimates including value and systems analysis, traditionally subcontracted elements, the ability to anticipate and cost items or elements not necessarily shown, and make sound, accurate judgments in consideration of the team, client and project.
Primary Responsibilities
? Compile, establish, refine, analyze and maintain estimating database for company-wide use in consideration of company?s core Design-Build delivery in residential and commercial projects.
? Historical labor and labor trend data related to company?s self-performed work including labor burden and productivity
? Materials and equipment data in consideration of current market trends and economic conditions
? Historical project cost data management
? Proactive study and reporting on company?s key market segment and industry trends
? Development and implementation of new company estimating policies and procedures to ensure the company remains current or ahead of industry standards
? Mentoring and direction of estimator(s), interns
? Assist department with quantity take-off of materials, assembly and analyze of bids and proposals for completeness, including documentation of estimate assumptions
? Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships
? Represent company in project meetings
? Promote company in community activities and non-profit organizations
? Collaborate with Design Department to strive for improved capacity and consistency through the use of technology
? Attend pre-bid meetings and do site inspections and identify local subcontractors
? Support the use of company wide BIM applications for developing and managing models for quantity take-offs and integration with estimating and scheduling databases

Experience & Educational Requirements
? Minimum 10 years experience in construction estimating desired
? BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Science, Building Construction or related field preferred
? AACE and/or SCEA certification strongly preferred
? Computer knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, estimating software
? Experience in BIM or related software (QTO, VICO, Revit, Innovaya, Navisworks) preferred
? Scheduling knowledge
? Knowledge of building codes including mechanical, electrical and plumbing
? Skill in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
